Trust and transparency

About this project

Mortgage Rate Impact Lab is being built to make mortgage calculations understandable, inspectable, and useful without turning a result into a sales pitch.

What the project is for

The product’s narrow promise is to show how a user-entered mortgage note rate, loan amount, term, and housing-cost assumptions affect an estimated payment and modeled payoff. Results appear before any reserved advertising space, formulas are documented, and each major limitation is meant to be visible near the decision it affects.

The initial tools cover a fixed-rate mortgage payment, the effect of comparing two note rates, and recurring extra principal. They are educational estimation tools, not personalized financial advice, credit decisions, loan applications, or available lender offers.

Current independence boundary

Mortgage Rate Impact Lab is a separate Westover Digital Development LLC product that uses the mortgage.localfiletoolkit.com address. Its repository, deployment configuration, environment variables, data resources, analytics, and release process are intentionally independent from the operator’s other products.

The pre-public product does not connect to another product’s user accounts, subscriptions, purchase entitlements, customer records, or databases. Calculator entries are not sent to or shared with another Westover Digital Development LLC product.

Commercial boundary at this stage

The current build does not accept loan applications, recommend or rank lenders, present paid mortgage offers, negotiate credit terms, or collect and route borrower profiles. Its visible functions are educational calculations and explanatory publishing.

Those descriptions address inspected product behavior, not a legal classification or conclusion about every future feature or jurisdiction. Any lender advertising, affiliate relationship, sponsored placement, personalized matching, or lead collection requires a separate compliance and licensing review before implementation.

Accountability record

The identified publisher and accountable operator is Westover Digital Development LLC. The proposed editorial owner is Ezra Westover. The project is based in Idaho, United States. These facts identify responsibility for this pre-public build; they do not make the draft policies effective or imply that the operator is a lender, mortgage broker, or financial adviser.
